The Story of Beaupré
Passion
A three-generation family adventure
Beaupré ’s roots trace back to 1964, when my grandfather opened his first jewelry shop. At the time, he offered both prestigious pieces from iconic brands like Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, and Heuer, as well as more accessible yet emblematic watches of the era, such as Kelton, Lip, Bulova, and Timex.
I grew up surrounded by these timepieces, among display cases, repairs, and conversations at the counter. My watchmaking culture was shaped there, as I observed the differences in cases, movements, finishes, and proportions. Some mechanisms fascinated me with their simplicity, others with their mastered complexity.
This passion was passed down naturally, without any ambition at first, just a love for the object, its construction, and its balance.
Today, with Beaupré, I continue this family story. The goal is simple: to offer well-considered watches with controlled dimensions, functional design inspired by the 1960s to 1980s, but crafted to modern standards: durable materials, reliable movements, and meticulous details.
The Apprenticeship
Understanding before creating
Before launching Beaupré, I spent years disassembling, reassembling, and comparing watches. My apprenticeship was hands-on: restoring vintage pieces, testing cases, and analyzing the subtle details that make all the difference. To this day, I still use my grandfather’s tools, simple yet precise instruments that taught me the value of proper fit and craftsmanship.
This practical experience allowed me to define the foundation of Beaupré: watches built to last, with meticulous attention to every detail: from the feel of the crown to the choice of crystal, down to the overall balance of the piece.
Wearing a story
Inspired by the past, designed for those who follow
At Beaupré, we design watches with a simple philosophy: to create beautifully finished, elegant, and enduring timepieces. These are watches meant to be worn with pleasure every day, and one day, passed on with pride. Just like the watches I inherited from my father and grandfather, ours are built to stand the test of time, both technically and aesthetically.
This means thoughtful dimensions, balanced design, and meticulous craftsmanship. Each model is crafted to be understated yet distinctive, discreet yet demanding. No fleeting trends, just reliable, well-proportioned mechanical watches that tell a story, and will continue to do so for generations to come.
